Adult Altar Servers
There is always a need for men and women to service at the 8:00am weekday Masses as well as the Saturday 8:00am Mass.  This service is on a scheduled basis and would require little time.  Call Tracy Marshall at 797-2375 to volunteer for this ministry.  Click here for more information.

Altar Servers

Children and Young Adults from the age of 10 (4th grade) and up are encouraged to serve as Altar Servers. Altar Servers are assigned masses on a team, rotating through the Mass schedule during the month. Arts & Crafts

Join the women of the parish who gather on Wednesday mornings at 9:00am in Room #12 to share their artistic talent creating items for the annual Christmas Bazaar and help raise money for our parish.  Call Marie Bronson at 789-3735 to volunteer for this ministry.  Click here for more information.

Baptism Preparation Program
Couples are needed to help conduct the program which prepares parents to welcome their child into the Christian community through the Sacrament of Baptism.  Call Sr. Therese Dugan at 797-2375 Ext. 224 to volunteer for this ministry.  Click here for more information.

Bingo Workers

This is a weekly event held on Monday beginning at 12:00 noon, which brings people together for fellowship and fun.  Volunteer to be a caller, floor helper, luncheon server, etc.  Call Stan Karnyski at 784-2633 to volunteer for this ministry.  Click here for more information.

Chancel Choir

When you sing you pray twice.  Why not join our Chancel Choir and make your voice heard.  Members are from high school age and older.  This choir provides music for the 11:00am Mass on Sunday and for special liturgies throughout the year.  Practice is on Wednesday evenings at 7:30pm in Room #4.  Call Liz Lyons at 797-2375 Ext. 237 to volunteer for this ministry.  Click here for more information.

Christian Initiation of Adults and Children

This is the process by which those who are not already one with us in faith learn about the Catholic Faith and make the decision to receive the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist.  This ministry is always in need of Sponsors to walk the journey with those seeking sacraments.  They also need prayer partners and people to help with hospitality.  This ministry meets on Sunday mornings at 9:00am.  Call Steve Tenk at 724-3322 to volunteer for this ministry.  Click here for more info.

 

Coffee and Donuts

This is the hospitality ministry of St. Michael.  Men, women, and young adults are needed to help prepare and serve coffee and donuts on a regular basis in the Cenacle after our Sunday Masses.  Call Larry Hogan at 797-2375 to volunteer for this ministry.  Click here for more information.

 

Community Care

These volunteers minister to the homebound and the hospitalized.  They help to provide transportation and respite care for the elderly, handicapped, and homebound of the parish.  The Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist to the Sick and Homebound coordinate through this ministry.  Sr. Therese Carolan at 797-2375 Ext. 229 to volunteer for this ministry.  Click here for more information.

Contemporary Choir

Decorating Committee

Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist at Mass

Appointed and empowered by the Pastor, these ministers assist the priest with the distribution of the Eucharist at the regular Sunday and other Special Masses.  We are always in need of more men and women so that communion under both species will continue in our parish.  Call Call Sr. Therese Dugan at 797-2375 Ext. 224 to volunteer for this ministry.  Click here for more information.

Grief and Bereavement

From the belief that no one in the family of St. Michael's should grieve alone, these parishioners will make calls to anyone who has a need to talk about their grief.  We would also like to get a group of individuals together who would attend funeral Masses at our parish so that no one celebrated alone.  Call Sylvia Weigle at 726-2878 to volunteer for this ministry.  Click here for more information.

Lectors

Library Volunteers

Sunday Nursery

Adults and high school aged young adults are always needed to care for our youngest parishioners while parents attend Sunday Mass. The nursery is open every Sunday during the 9:30am Mass for ages 1 - 4 in Room #1. It is necessary for all volunteers to be screened to serve in this ministry. Office Volunteers

The Parish Office frequently needs general clerical assistance to help with large mailings, bulletin preparation, or front desk relief.  Special projects frequently require volunteers.  Call the parish office at 797-2375 to volunteer for this ministry.  Click here for more information.

Parish Council

The Parish Council acts as an advisory board to the Pastor.  The work of the Council deals with matters of planning and development, public relations and community life.  Members are elected to three year terms by the parishioners; should you wish to offer your name for candidacy, please submit your name when elections are held each year.  Click here for more information.

Religious Education (Pre-K through High School)

This ministry provides a structured program for all our children who are attending public school, to receive religious education.  Special classes are also conducted to prepare children to receive their First Sacraments of Penance and Eucharist and the Sacrament of Confirmation.  Spiritually gifted lay Catholic men and women who become Catechists are commissioned by the Pastor and assist in the teaching of these classes.  This program also needs men and women to help as aides and plan special programs and events.  Call Katie White - DRE at 797-2375 Ext. 243 to volunteer for this ministry.  Click here for more information.

Sacristans

Tradesmen

Volunteer your talent as a carpenter, painter, electrician, plumber, appliance and air conditioning repair, landscaper and other crafts to assist with the upkeep of our parish property and to work or serve as a special consultant on projects.  Call the Maintenance Supervisor at 797-2375 Ext. 234 to volunteer for this ministry.  Click here for more information.

Ushers

This is a very important ministry in the Church.  These volunteers assist with greeting people at Mass, seating people, collecting and presenting the weekly offertory during Mass, and other special event tasks.  Call Ron Ballarini at 723-1195 to volunteer for this ministry.  Click here for more information.

 

Welcome Committee

Youth Group

This is the ministry to the youth of our parish.  We come together to praise God and have fun and fellowship.  Adults are needed to assist with this program for our teens to chaperone and to provide transportation to activities.  High School students will meet on Wednesdays and Middle School students on Thursdays for spiritual reinforcement, fellowship, civic involvement, and just plain fun.  Call the parish office at 797-2375 to volunteer for this ministry.  Click here for more information.
