The Coat of Arms of St.
Michael the Archangel Parish conveys 3 things: |
|
 |
- The inverted red cross honors St. Peter, evokes St.
Peter's martyrdom, whose name the Diocese of St.
Petersburg carries. Tradition tells us that Peter was
crucified up-side down.
- The pommelled cross is known in heraldry as The
Cross of St. Michael, in honor of Parish Patron.
- The background of the shield, wavy bars of blue and
silver(white) represent the clear waters for which the
City of Clearwater is named and in which our parish is
situated.

|
| |
So, our Diocese, our Patron
and our City are represented in
our Coat of Arms. |
